Each celebrity in Hollywood has their own style and regimen when it comes to weight loss pursuits. Some of them have made a particular weight loss routine quite popular with the positive effects it had over their weight loss goals. But be wary that not all celebrities who have been successful in such aims can provide a viable advice as to how they did it.
It can be recalled that Oprah Winfrey had recommended the Cabbage Soup Diet a couple of years back. The diet is all about eating the same foods all day along with high sodium broth beverages prepared by combining cabbages, V8 juices and Lipton’s onion soup mix. Most people find this type of diet very difficult since you only get one variety of food for the whole day. The high level of sodium in this diet is very high which is why Oprah has taken back her affirmation on this diet.
What celebrities fail to understand is that their words make a great impact among their fans particularly when dieting is involved. Here are a number of celebrities and their diet regimens:
- For Drew Barrymore, it’s having one physical activity a day that she finds most enjoyable. It can be in the form of playing crazy golf or swimming. She is also into playing some team sports. Her diet includes unsweetened Jell-O and strictly no carbonated drinks. She limits her food intake as well. It may not be the best diet plan to have a skinny figure but it is indeed a reasonable one. At the same time, Drew is not following the trend of other Hollywood diet just to attain an anorexic figure.

- Being a supermodel, Heidi Klum was indeed a stunning figure to admire. What’s more surprising was she lost 30 pounds off her weight after only a month of giving birth. She managed to do so by adhering to a diet of 1700 caloric intake daily. Her medical advisers have considered it to be below what is normal for nursing mothers but then again it was considerably adequate for the non-nursing adults.
- Gwyneth Paltrow is into the Zen Macrobiotic diet that is restrictive of caffeine and alcohol beverages and recipes that includes meat, fish and eggs. For Gwyneth, it is mostly eating organic and raw foods which can be too costly for an average dieter since they have to frequent the market for fresh produce daily or every other day. The recipes for this diet may not agree with some people’s taste buds since it is limited to veggies, nuts and seeds. People who have very low self control over food may not be able to last in this type of diet. Moreover, the diet is lacking of protein, vitamin B12 and fats that can affect one’s mental and emotional state.
- Another well known model, Claudia Schiffer has adhered to an organic diet. She consumes 3 square meals daily. The downside for such diet is that an average dieter may find it too costly since organic foods cost twice as much than the non-organic ones.
