Even the sexiest or the healthiest celebrity you know would have their own pace when their metabolism would surge down. Actually, researches state that when people start to hit their 30’s, the rate of metabolism naturally goes down. For women they even lose a pound of muscle annually in exchange for fats.

It is already a common knowledge that having a regular fitness activity and choosing the right kinds of foods would indeed result a healthy and trim body. But there are other ways as to how you can make your body respond well and still manage to keep the rates of metabolism high.

Eat right! Many celebrities have been known to suffer from various eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia thinking that having less food intake would allow them to stay fit and trim. Although, people suffering from this condition are thin and slim their bodies may suffer from nutritional deficiency or in other words, unhealthy.

Moreover, once your caloric intake drops to 1000 calories the body automatically enters a starvation mode. This now affects a slower metabolic rate. One is also likely to feel tired easily and groggy. In this light, you won’t be able to use calories and losing weight is very difficult.

Eating a low-calorie diet is important but do not set the body to a caloric intake below than what is normal as this may not at all be helpful.

Start your day right by eating breakfast. Some people think that skipping breakfast helps them to save some calories but in fact they only set the body to starvation mode at a very early time. Make sure to power up your metabolism by eating a few small snacks throughout the day that have low caloric contents.

Quit drinking alcoholic beverages. Such drinks can only lessen the body’s ability to burn fats.

If you have a kick for spicy foods you’re in for a real treat. Did you know it can enhance the rate of your metabolism too? Include some spices such as Black Pepper, Ginger, Chilli Peppers and Cinnamon in your dishes if possible. This would aid in faster burning of calories.

Keep your body hydrated by drinking lots of water. It would help flush out harmful wastes in the body and keep a good circulation of the blood. Check the color of your urine every now and then. If the color seems too dark this is a sign that you need to increase your water intake. On the other hand, having a clear one means you’re on the right track.
