Ever wonder how your favorite celebrities manage to stay slim and even lose weight fast after pregnancy? You may think it’s a bit stereo-type that they would say “It’s all about eating right and working out” but some actually even go the extra miles to stay in shape. Find out which ones are known to be the pros and cons in terms of weight loss. Here are some of the famous Hollywood stars and their weight management regimen:

  • Eat your Breakfast – While some people may think they’re saving on caloric intake, diet experts have put an emphasis on the importance of eating breakfast. Gunnar Peterson, a popular celebrity trainer, suggests his clients such as J. Lo and Penelope Cruz, to eat something half an hour after waking up in the morning. This would tell your body to go out of starvation mode and start working on burning up fats. He recommends one cup of oatmeal prepared with slices of fruits and scrambled egg whites. The fiber on oatmeal would provide the body with fiber which would induce a longer feeling of fullness and satiety from incorporating protein-rich egg whites.

There have been studies that prove how people who have a regular breakfast meal are more prone to lose weight successfully than those who disregards the importance of this meal.

  • No to white foods – Cameron Diaz’s personal trainer Teddy Bass, recommends saying no to white carb laden foods such as bread, pasta, cookies and rice. This is particularly crucial for Hollywood stars if they need to prepare for a red carpet premier or if their movie role calls for it. Since these foods have high sugar content, the body would like burn off the sugar first than that of fats. For Cameron Diaz, it more of fruits and vegetables in her diet.

Reducing your carb intake is a good step for weight management. Do not be misled. There are people who exclude carb in their diets and feasts on the non-white foods thinking that eating breads and pastries made from whole wheat flour is proper. The truth is you also have to consider the calories they contain.

  • What’s the deal on the veggies? In Los Angeles, nutrition experts and trainers have advised their clients to avoid eating veggies in the likes of cauliflowers and broccoli. For Carrie Wiatt, personal trainer for Denise Richards and Fergie, it would be best to consume veggies that contains more amounts of water such as lettuce, celery, cucumbers and fruits in the likes of watermelon, oranges and grapes. This can prevent them from experiencing bloating and gas while ridding the digestive tract of unwanted toxins.

Nutrition experts state that there are some fruits and vegetables that can cause bloating and gas. Apart from that carbonated drinks should also be out of the picture since they contain unnatural sugars that can cause one to bloat. For a safer drink, try the dandelion tea. It is known to be a good means to induce diuretics into the system. Peppermint and chamomile tea are also known to be such only with a more agreeable palate flavor.

  • Be fearless and eat spicy foods – Anne Hathaway and Liv Tyler shares the same personal trainer, David Kirsch. These stars have been advised to include red pepper flakes, chopped jalapeños and hot pepper sauce in their daily meals or as much as they can possibly could. Not only are they palate satisfying but it also curbs one’s hunger. As a result, they are able to lower their food intake.

In recent studies, it has been found out that people who eat more hot red pepper are likely to have lesser food intake and shed off more calories from their diet. But this does not mean that you have to eat up until your mouth starts to flame. Instead, less than a teaspoon of red pepper flakes or hot pepper sauce is already satisfactory. Paprika and garlic also have the same effects in terms of curbing the appetite.

  • Snacking – Valerie Waters is the personal trainer for Jennifer Garner and Elizabeth Berkley. She advises her clients to take a regular snack in the amount of 150 calories. For these Hollywood celebrities, their snacking treats is composed of apples and low-fat string cheese, crackers topped with chicken salad, or some slices of rolled-up turkey and a handful of grapes. Waters states that one should have about 150 to 200 calories as a snack for a 3 to 4 hour intervals to avoid overeating during the regular meals of the day.

Snacks can include foods that have a hint of carbohydrates to support the body with much needed energy and combine it along with protein-based foods for an effective means of curbing hunger. The personal trainer for Madonna and Naomi Watts suggests mixing 4 ounces of fruit juice with the same amount of water. Then combine it with berries or a banana. This would make a 200 caloric smoothie.

  • Go for Organic Foods – this is actually the latest craze in Hollywood. There are certain substances found in dairy meat and poultry that can increase the amount of estrogen in the body. In effect, the body would prefer holding on to fats instead of the usual routine of burning them. Moreover, non-organic foods contain pesticides that may prevent the normal activity of the hormones and this could very much lead to unsightly bulges. Remember that processed and packaged foods contain various kinds of preservatives, chemicals and salt that the body may not be able to digest properly.

It is indeed ideal to avoid foods that have been exposed to harmful chemicals. But adhering to organic foods does not mean that it would result in shedding off excess weight. It’s just a matter of eating a healthier kind of food. Another thing is that processed and packaged foods are not all evil. Foods in the Kashi lines are merely some products that contain high amounts of fiber and low amounts of calories, fats and salt.
