We all think that this Tomb Raider star does not need to go on a diet. It is safe to say that she is one of the skinniest and sexiest stars in the industry. But the said actress was forced to lose twenty pounds to prepare for her upcoming film “Salt” where she will be playing as a CIA Assassin who was forced to dress up like a man to disguise herself. The director of the film said that she needs to look thinner for her to look more convincing for her role. Keep reading below how Angelina lost twenty pounds instantly.

In order for her to reduce ten pounds, She followed a fast acting weight loss program that was popular in 2007 called the Martha Vineyard Detox Diet. The said slim down program aims to ingest liquids every two hours the cleanse the body from harmful toxins. She is not allowed to eat solid meals. Some sources shared that this renowned actor began following this weight loss program three days before last month’s Oscar awards. But it seems that Angelina is having a hard time dealing with the Martha Vineyard Diet. According to some sources, Angelina began to feel lazy and sneaking in some extra meals everywhere. Although this diet may be difficult for her, it seems be effective for she was able to lose eight pounds in no time.

The Martha Detox Diet may be one of the fast acting slim down technique out there. But most health nutritionist does not recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight. There are plenty of fitness eating plan out there that are safe and effective.

Now we are glad to know that Jolie has switched to several types of healthy weight loss program like the Zone diet. The said diet is one of the most popular diets used not only by Hollywood celebrity dieters but also by other dieters around the world.  Dieters including Angelina chose to follow this diet because aside from its weight loss effect, it also teaches dieters how to lead a healthy way of living. She has a variety of meal options and she gets to lose and maintain her desired weight without depriving herself. She eats right and she tried not to indulge herself with unhealthy and fatty foods. This diet is specifically designed to help you lose weight fast in a healthy way. The meals are proportionally prepared so you get a balanced ratio of carbohydrates (40%), fat (30%) and proteins (30%).

Barry Sears author of the Book “The Zone” claims that our body’s consumption should control our body’s insulin production.

Each meal is designed to have:

-forty percent carbs
-thirty percent mono –unsaturated fats
-thirty percent protein

She has also tried the South Beach Diet.The South Beach Diet was created by Dr. Arthur Agatston. His objective was to encourage people to switch to a healthier lifestyle. The said food plan aims to get rid of bad carbs and fats only allowing the healthy ones through in order for our body to be fit, lean and healthy. It is comprised of three essential parts that has to be followed.

The first phase removes high glycemic carbohydrates such as the following:

-bread
-sugar
-potatoes
-candy
-fruit
-cereals
-grains

These products aims to get remove insulin levels which will help get rid of unnecessary and unhealthy body fats

After a couple of weeks, the dieters can begin with the second portion of the diet. Other meals are already included in this stage such as fruits and dairy products along with some wheat. Dieters are encouraged to lessen their intakes but they can have some red wine or some sweet potatoes.

During the last stage, dieters are required to incorporate 3 servings of whole grain and three servings of fruit into the diet.

The South Beach diet is more than just a slim down technique, for it also teaches dieters how to lead a healthy way of living by making good food choices. This is one of the suggested food plan that everyone can follow. It’s proven safe and effective which is why most celebrity dieters and other dieters around the world chose to follow the said meal plan.
