How many people are sure that their diet contains ample amount of beans? It would be a real shame if they would miss it as it contains a load of nutrition including fiber, protein and those that can fight off and eliminate free radicals from our system. It has a low amount of calories but very high in protein value. The best part about having beans in your diet is that it is very affordable and cheap.

As a fiber source, beans are considered to be a very generous source. Not only does it help in weight management plans but it also helps in preventing colon related illnesses. For this purpose, people have long been recommended to take an average of 25 to 30 grams of fiber daily. Since there is a great number of people suffering from constipation, weight gain and fatigue we can figure that the same number of people lacks the recommended amount of daily fiber consumption. Actually, for one to enjoy beans in their diet it would require a very little patience to come up with a delicious meal using such and it would surely result in much needed weight loss.

When it comes to weight management plans, having the required dosage of fiber is important. First of all, it allows dieters to feel full for a longer period of time. One is also assured of normal blood sugar level and appetite suppression that are considerably the two most important factors that contribute to weight loss. Moreover, beans are considered to be a soluble type of fiber that lessens the amount of bad cholesterol in the body.

Most of the time, beans are taken for granted and people would rather look elsewhere for foods that contains low fat but high protein levels. Once beans are incorporated with other whole grain foods such as brown rice,

this would equal to a great amount of protection for your heart against illnesses and diseases. There are some forms of diets that adhere to protein based from animal sources. While it is true that it can result in weight loss it lacks the necessary nutrients that would help in easing the digestive process. There are also cases wherein the fat contents from meat were left unprocessed which get accumulated in the body. This is actually visible as unsightly bulges in several body parts and more particular in the abdomen or belly area.

Eating meat is not completely bad for the health. What is being noted here is that it would be advisable to replace beans for a few meals for that beneficial health boost your body requires.

Here is one bean recipe that you’d surely enjoy. If you intend to use canned beans, check the label first and determine if it has a low sodium ingredient. Rinse the beans thoroughly before using them.

Chickpea Salad:

You will need a tin of chickpeas, an onion, tomato, black olives, basil, chilies (chopped) or chili flakes and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. To prepare, simply mix all the ingredients well and enjoy!

Lima Bean Hummus:

You will need a can of lima beans, 1/3 cup lemon juice, 1 to 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1/4 cup finely minced parsley leaves, a tablespoon of paprika and salt.

Combine all the ingredients excluding parsley and process in a blender until juicy. Pour the mixture in a bowl and add the parsley leaves then refrigerate for a couple of hours. Garnish with paprika then serve with chopped vegetables.
