Most dieters complain how they are not able to keep themselves fit because of their busy working schedules. But did you know that making a slight alteration to your daily activities would already provide you of a great calorie burner without exerting much effort? Here are some activities you need to skip out:
- Skip the weekend brunches and instead spend time for a 2-hour hiking trip. This would not only burn calories but provide you with much needed invigoration for your body.
- Skip using the elevator when at work and use the stairs whenever time permits you to do so.

Skip driving and walk! This would not only save you on gas but also it is a good way to burn calories. Use a pedometer while you’re at it to provide enough motivation. You would have the proper knowledge as to how far you have already traveled as well as how many calories you have already burned thru it. If you need to bring a car along for long travel, park the car a bit far to your destination in order and walk the rest of the way. If you have a pet, it would also be a good means to keep your metabolism high by taking it for a walk rather than limiting their exercise as well in the backyard.
- Skip the carbonated beverages and sugary sodas. There is no great substitute for water when it comes to keeping your body healthy. Water has been known to provide plenty of benefits which include high level of metabolism for weight loss. It also has a way of suppressing the appetite so you can skip overeating.

- Keep a bottle of water at bay wherever you go. If there are times that you feel hungry, it would be best to drink a glass of water first since it is very common that thirst is quite mistaken for hunger.
- Skip stacking your kitchen cupboard and refrigerator with junk foods or foods that have high caloric contents such as chocolates, ice cream and cookies. It would be best to keep low calorie yogurt, chopped or dried fruits, nuts or sweet potatoes at bay to help you suffice your snacking or bingeing needs..

- Skip stressing yourself. Nobody knows yourself better than you so why not veer away from things or situations that can cause you to feel stressful. Some research shows that when the body is under stress it releases too much Cortisol which can increase the potential of the body to store fats particularly in the abdominal area.
- Skip coffee. This is one cause of stress for most people as it has been found out to cause jitteriness and an anxious feeling. Substitute your caffeine requirements for Chamomile or KavaKava. These are known to affect a relaxing feeling. Another way of coping with stress is to have some form of meditation or relaxing activities. You can perform Tai Chi or Yoga while playing a soothing music at home.
- Skip those late night sleeps. Having a proper rest has its own benefits. You would feel more revitalized when you wake up in the morning. The fact is, sleeping has been found to affect weight loss as well. How? It’s so simple. The more hours of normal sleep you have the better your muscles perform in terms on increasing the rate of metabolism and formation of muscle mass. Sleep also lessens the production of Cortisone in the body.
